swissnex San Francisco connects the best of many worlds by bridging the knowledge, energy and competencies in science, higher education, art and innovation between Switzerland, the U.S.A and Canada. Initiated by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER) as a public-private venture, and managed in cooperation with the Swiss Department of Foreign Affairs, swissnex San Francisco is an annex of the Consulate General of Switzerland in San Francisco. Vital financial support is provided by public and private sponsors sharing swissnex' commitment to connecting the dots.

swissnex San Francisco connects the dots within and across the fields of science, higher education, art and innovation during the frequent events held in our public Event Space. We create a unique forum for knowledge sharing and inter-cultural cooperation at our facilities in downtown San Francisco. Connect with us by co-hosting or attending an event!

We can host up to 110 people seated for a conference and 250 standing for a cocktail reception. The gallery-like open atmosphere offers a unique setting that favors connecting people and ideas. Scroll down for more details about space capacity/layouts and available equipment.

Space Capacity & Layout

Standing Cocktail: 250 persons
Conference Style: 110 persons (theater or round table style)
Classroom Style: 60 persons
Break-out Workshop: 50 persons
U-shape: 40 persons

Our event room includes all standard audio-visual equipment to facilitate presentations, including:

LCD Projector (Mac/PC compatible)
High-speed internet connections throughout space
Secure wireless internet connection
3 wireless microphones (includes 1 lavalier)
2 wired microphones
Multi-standard DVD/CD Player
VHS/VCR Player (Swiss/US compatible)
6 JBL Control 25T 70V speakers
