Boundaries are an ever-shifting phenomenon in our lives that are full of meaning and consequence. Using the opening of Prof. Ariel Ruiz i Altaba’s exhibit Minimal Landscapes as a jumping-off point, swissnex San Francisco presents an evening of spirited discussion on the relationship between art and science.
Come hear what an esteemed panel of scientists and artists has to say on the matter and join in the conversation afterwards while networking with a unique cross-section of professionals. The round-table discussion will be conducted by Dr Leonard Shlain, Chairman of Laparoscopic Surgery at the California Pacific Medical Center and author of various books and articles on the subjects. The panelists of this round-table include: the artist and University of Geneva Professor Ariel Ruiz i Altaba, gallery owner Stephen Wirtz, LBNL Professor Emeritus of Chemistry John Hearst, author Piero Scaruffi, SFMOMA curator of media arts Rudolf Frieling, and University of San Francisco Professor of Chemistry Tami Spector.
