Stephan Schneeberger gives a review and outlook of a current hot topic -- renewable energy using photovoltaic solar panels. Europe, Japan and California are leading the way in this fast growing market. Can it become a new Semiconductor industry?


About the presenter:

Stephan lived in the Bay Area from 1999-2004 and worked for Small Precision Tools in Petaluma before returning to his native Switzerland in August 2004. He then took over as CEO of HCT Shaping Systems SA (www.hct.ch), a leading manufacturer of wire saws for the Photovoltaic and Semiconductor industry. Stephan holds a Masters of Microtechnology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and an MBA from USF in San Francisco.
