Event Details

Location

swissnex San Francisco
730 Montgomery St., San Francisco, 94111 United States

Date

June 02, 2014 - June 28, 2014

The time has come for dialogue and mobilization around the threat that urbanization and industrialized agriculture pose to biodiversity.

At swissnex San Francisco, we’re taking on this challenge with an entire month of programming that celebrates and investigates our relationship to plants and imagines a green and healthy future for cities and the planet.

Join experts, policy makers, innovators, and community members to share experiences and lessons on this topic. Events cover urban farming, plant science, civic responsibility, art, and design as they relate to preserving plants and vegetation in our lives. In addition, Swiss photographer Mario Del Curto’s exhibition GARDENS | BOTANICA offers an artistic interpretation of biodiversity and the ways in which humans deal with plants in both natural and urban environments.
