Now more than ever, the future of work is in question and we are left wondering how will it look not only tomorrow, but also in 10 years and beyond. Vitra and swissnex SF are partnering to explore this question and rethink our own workplace environments. Commencing September 24th, we will begin live-streaming a monthly digital conversation on this topic hosted by Vitra’s Future of Work Trendscout Raphael Gielgen, and featuring a cast of multi-disciplinary guests. These immersive and interactive discussions will offer ideas and alternative thinking on concepts that Raphael has built his career pioneering.

For our first event, Raphael will be joined by San Francisco based Swiss Founder and CEO, Yves Béhar, of fuseproject. Yves is a designer and entrepreneur who believes that integrated product, brand and experience design are the cornerstones of any business. Béhar has pioneered design as a force for positive social and environmental change.

Moderator

Raphael Gielgen
Raphael Gielgen has spent most of his professional life working on making the office environment a better place. Even some of his own colleagues think he’s a little crazy. His irrepressible curiosity, his restless quest for explanations, and his delight at upending everything can occasionally make him an uncomfortable companion. When he appears at the office after returning from a long trip, he recounts things that sound more like a virtual utopia than a reality that has been experienced. He visits over one hundred companies in a single year; the world is his workplace, the future his area of research. His work informs Vitra´s approach to improving the quality of offices and public spaces through the power of design by serving the varied Vitra team with the results of his observations and cognitions by trend clusters, market analysis and business cases.
