August 24, 2016 from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm America/Los Angeles (UTC-08:00)

An interactive workshop on the topic “Our Prosumer Future: From Distributed Generation to Shared Mobility” concludes the Swiss-US Energy Innovation Days.

What will our future energy landscape look like? This question is at the heart of the workshop and will provoke a swath of queries such as:

  • What are the energy needs and implications of prosumers?
  • What can and should be connected to meet and anticipate needs?
  • What role could local renewable energy play in this space?
  • What transit methods will shape our world to coalesce people, IoT and energy?
  • What opportunities and ideation will you be part of in the future?

Led by Chris Luebkeman, Global Director of Arup’s Foresight + Research + Innovation team, this workshop explores how policy and technology can support social justice in a distributed generation. The activities will emphasize peer-to-peer energy demands, consider the possibilities within the Internet of Things (IoT) and provoke thought about the energy transitions in and around future transportation.

The aim of this workshop is to inspire participants to make their energy visions personal and tangible, to spread collective knowledge and to sustain momentum once the 2016 Swiss-US Energy days conclude.
