Tom Strala is a Swiss architect who builds tables, chairs, and lamps instead of houses. Behind his studio’s timeless design is his passion for awakening thoughts, quintessential craftsmanship, and enthusiasm for research. He discusses his practice in a lecture at CCA as part of the CCA Furniture Program in conjunction with The NWBLK in San Francisco. In addition, he leads design workshops with students at CCA from September 14-15 and is included in The NWBLK Fall Launch on September 11, 2013, from 6-10pm.
