Crafting a Conversation
At 6pm on October 2, 2010, Yves Béhar, founder of design agency fuseproject and curator of TechnoCRAFT, and Sam Grawe, Editor-in-Chief of Dwell magazine, discuss the exhibition at YBCA. TechnoCRAFT‘s tagline, “Hackers, Modders, Fabbers, Tweakers and Design in the Age of Individuality,” sets the tone for the dialog.
Join these two in the Screening Room at YBCA as they talk about the exhibit’s inception, individual works, contemporary design, and American design in particular, and stay for the reception immediately following, sponsored by swissnex San Francisco.
Béhar is also chair of the Industrial Design Department at California College of the Arts and was the chief designer of the XO laptop used in the One Laptop Per Child Project. Under Grawe’s leadership, Dwell magazine completed a successful redesign in 2008, a website redesign in 2009, and became a finalist in the 2009 National Design Award for Corporate Excellence.
