Why Nestlé is Partnering with swissnex San Francisco

With a planned move to Pier 17 in 2016 will come change for swissnex San Francisco and its co-working community. Among the changes, Nestlé announced that it will expand its digital team—with additional staff drawn from the company’s marketing and technology groups—to San Francisco and join the Swiss Innovation Pier alongside swissnex San Francisco, the Consulate of Switzerland, the Swiss Business Hub, and others.
“Two years ago we successfully established a Silicon Valley Innovation Outpost and we look to build and expand on that effort through this engagement with swissnex,” said Patrice Bula, Nestlé Executive Vice President and Global Head of Marketing.
Now, Nestlé aims to further develop relationships with consumers by providing them with innovative online experiences and services. Therefore, they want to work more closely with major technology platforms and startups. Being based at the Swiss Innovation Pier will facilitate these goals and align the team with an interdisciplinary environment of thought leaders.
