New Miniseries: Regenerate the Economy
October 28, 2020.
“Leaders face an important choice around supporting innovation-led growth in the short term, one that may have lasting consequences for their companies’ ability to grow in the years to come.”
— Innovation in a crisis: Why it is more critical than ever, McKinsey, June 17, 2020
The paradox of growth is a real challenge for leaders and changemakers across society today. The demands of the private sector necessitate growth, but it has come at the expense of our natural world’s ability to regenerate. Our technology has advanced beyond our planet’s carrying capacity, and our political system’s ability to govern. But life is growth; to live is to grow! Humanity must find ways to provide a good life for current and future generations even as the systems we have come to rely on are breaking down. Technologies that can help us design a positive future by creating new kinds of value are abundant. Knowledge of how to best use them in a complex socio-political environment is another matter.
Join us this November to plant seeds for a new way of doing business in our (post-) pandemic world that is supportive of human and planetary health.
