We’re reclaiming the streets and making a public spectacle with our newly installed parklet.
Dubbed “the event machine,” the parklet at 730 Montgomery Street was conceived and designed by swissnex San Francisco together with ETH Zurich’s Urban-Think Tank, Gehl Architects, and urban planners from UC Berkeley. This modular stage can readily host public talks, panel discussions, workshops, screenings, and more. When it isn’t activated for events, the parklet offers passers-by an offbeat place to stop, sit, and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of the Jackson Square Historic District.
The swissnex San Francisco parklet is part of the City of San Francisco’s Pavement to Parks initiative. If you have innovative ideas for parklet events related to science, education, art, or innovation, please get in touch. We are always interested in collaboration and partnership. And stay tuned for upcoming events on the parklet.
